UKIYO-E ART JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT BOXED MUG "Cats Suggested As The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, 1850. - Printed on a high-quality ceramic mug and presented in a matching box with traditional Japanese "kanoko" all-over pattern and calligraphy of the artist's name and title of the artwork. Utagawa Kuniyoshi was a great cat-lover and it was said that he always had his studio full of cats, apparently he could even be often seen working with a kitten or a cat snuggled in his kimono. If we could we all would! - Reproduced from an archive image, respectfully and lovingly restored and enhanced digitally, to remove the non-artistic blemishes and colour fading. - 11 oz/320ml Mug. Mug dimensions: 90mm height x 80 mm width, 115mm width with the handle. Mug box is approximately 100mm height x 105mm width x 95mm depth. - Our ceramic mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe, however we'd recommend hand washing to preserve the design! - Created and printed with love in England . - Carefully packed and dispatched in a strong double-wall cardboard box for safe transit.
