From the "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, published ca. 1916. Arthur Rackham (1867 - 1939) was a master illustrator of the Edwardian era, renowned for his exquisite ink and watercolour drawings, filled with fantasy creatures, fairies and all things haunting and dream-like. "Like the sundial, my paint box counts no hours but sunny ones"... Reproduced from an antique book illustration. (Please note that the image has a subtle halftone-like effect - it is not a photograph, so it does not have, nor it intends to have a photographic sharpness. It has a lovely vintage print texture to its strokes and colours). - Respectfully and lovingly restored and enhanced digitally, to remove the non-artistic blemishes and colour fading . - A3 print, 297mm x 420mm. There will be no watermarks on the actual print.) - Printed in England on a 350gsm Eucalyptus paper, made from eucalyptus pulp from sustainable sources. It is brilliant white and smooth and Eco printed with high pigment environmentally-friendly toners. - Supplied unframed, carefully rolled and packed with tissue paper in a strong cardboard tube for safe transit.
